I have a Master Degree in Counseling and have worked in the eldercare industry for over 25 years. I am a licensed insurance producer for life, health/accident, casualty and property, notary public and Certified Neuro-Linguistic Programmer.

I initially began working with seniors in the field of research, having worked on several clinical studies for Alzheimer medication. It was during this time that I became aware of the need for seniors to find appropriate assisted living. Seeing a need for finding the appropriate level of senior care, I began a placement company and I am considered a founding father in what has become known as the “placement industry”.

While working in the senior placement arena I was saddened to see that many seniors worked hard for their retirement but never planned for the eventual need of long term care. Many spouses were left destitute paying the assisted living fees for their needy spouse.

Eventually, I met an Elder Law attorney and estate planner and thus Legal Awareness for Seniors was founded. I work hard for my senior clients, maintaining a 100% approval rating in getting my clients approved for ALTCS long term care benefits. I developed advanced estate planning strategies which help families receive the care and finances they needed in long term care benefits from both ALTCS and VA Aid and Attendance that otherwise would be lost.

I have led and collaborated with professional estate planning teams and consulted on countless estate plans over the years, developing appropriate strategies for clients facing retirement issues. I spearheaded the campaign in AZ to acknowledge the use and acceptance of the Funeral Trust by the Medicaid Governing Agency (ALTCS) as a valid tool for ALTCS planning. I have given speeches throughout the nation on Medicaid Planning and the use of the Funeral Trust and even spoke in front of the senate on long term care issues.

My clients never cease to amaze me with their stories and anecdotes of Arizona and “days gone by”.

The greatest gift of all that was given to me is the gift of family. I have two beautiful children, Alyssa and Vinny. They are my heart and soul. They have taught me the most about love and giving. Their insight is beyond words and their hearts are truly golden. We have so much to learn from all the generations, both young and old.
